The National Green Earth Challenge is open to undergraduate students specializing in architecture, urban planning, engineering, design, fashion design, and related fields. Individual participants and teams of up to three members are eligible. Teams can include students from different courses and institutions.

Submissions will be evaluated based on their sustainability, impact, innovation, feasibility, transdisciplinary approach, and potential for scalability, among other factors. Additionally, the design's aesthetic quality and functionality will be assessed. All entries must follow the Ten Commandments outlined in the challenge brief.

All submissions must be original work created specifically for this competition. While participants can draw on their prior knowledge or experiences, the final submission should present new ideas and solutions that align with the competition's sustainability focus. Previously published work will not be accepted.

Yes, each individual or team is allowed to submit only one entry. This ensures participants focus on their best work. Additionally, participants may not compete in both challenges.

No, participation in the NGEC is completely free.

As per government regulations, a 31.2% TDS will be applicable on all cash awards being given by NGEC.

For teams, the prize will be awarded to the team as a whole and can be divided among members at their discretion. For individual participants, the full prize will be awarded to the individual.

Participants retain ownership of their designs and intellectual property. However, by entering the competition, you grant NGEC a non-exclusive license to use your submission for non-commercial purposes, including research, education, and promotional activities. Due credit will be given to participants for any such use. Select solutions may get the opportunity to also grow as a start-up.

No, once your entry has been submitted to the portal, it cannot be edited or updated. Please ensure your submission is complete before finalizing.

Only participants who advance to the zonal and national rounds will receive a certificate of recognition.
